Niantic ID is your primary, unique identity for your Niantic Account. Your Peridot Keeper Name will soon be changed to use your Niantic ID username automatically. After this change, your keeper name will now be consistent with your campfire username, both of which are powered by Niantic ID. Niantic ID makes it easier for friends to recognize you across Niantic games and apps and stay connected. . For more information about Niantic ID, check out our article about Niantic ID.

Don’t have a Niantic ID? Your keeper name will be set as your Niantic ID, if your existing keeper name is taken by another player, we will ask you to set a new keeper name.

Below is a summary of the changes we’ve made:

If you are an existing Peridot Keeper with a Niantic ID, your Keeper Name will be changed to your Niantic ID automatically. You will see this same username throughout Peridot, your Niantic Profile, and Campfire

If you are an existing Peridot Keeper without a Niantic ID, your Niantic ID will be set to your keeper name. You will see this same username throughout Peridot, your Niantic Profile, and Campfire.

Note: Niantic IDs are unique, which means no one else has the same username. If someone else already owned a Niantic ID that matches your Keeper name, you will be asked to choose a new Keeper Name.

Where can I find my Keeper Name/Niantic ID in Peridot?

You can view your keeper name by tapping on your Backpack, Selecting “Dots and Friends”, and tapping on the “You” tab where you’ll see your Keeper Society card with your Keeper Name/Niantic ID.
