When you have more Pikmin, select the Pikmin you want to walk with and place them in a squad! The maximum number of Pikmin in your squad will increase as you level up.
What Pikmin in the squad can do
The Pikmin in your squad will do the following
What you see in the Pikmin Garden that appears when you tap the whistle are the Pikmin in your squad. On this screen, you can give nectars to Pikmin to collect petals. See "Pikmin" for more information.
Pikmin in the squad will perform flower planting. The more Pikmin in the squad, the more flowers can be planted in a shorter time. For more information on flower planting, see "How to Play Flower Planting".
Note
When a Pikmin in the squad is sent to expeditions or mushrooms, the Pikmin moves from the squad to standby and leaves an opening in the squad.
Pikmin that are sent to expeditions or mushrooms cannot be placed in the squad.
Pikmin in the squad are automatically replaced in the following situations.
When the Pikmin come back from the expeditions or mushrooms (only if there is an opening in the squad).
When new Pikmin are born from seedlings (always)
When a Pikmin wears a decor from a gift (always)
Replace Pikmin in the squad
You can replace the Pikmin in your squad from the Pikmin list.
Make opening in the squad
When replacing Pikmin in the squad, first select the Pikmin that will return to standby to make an opening in the squad. Press and hold a Pikmin in the Pikmin List or select "Select Squad" in the lower right corner.
Tap a Pikmin to return to standby to select it. If you want to select many Pikmin at once, tap and hold a Pikmin and slide your finger sideways. If you make a mistake in selecting a Pikmin, tap that Pikmin again. Please note that you cannot select a Pikmin that is holding a fruit in the Pikmin Garden.
Once you have decided on the Pikmin to return to standby, press "Move" in the lower right corner.
Move standby Pikmin to the squad
When there is an opening in the squad, a waiting Pikmin can be placed there. After confirming that there is an opening in the squad, scroll through the list of Pikmin to display the standby Pikmin.
Select the Pikmin you wish to move to the squad. Press and hold a Pikmin in the list of Pikmins or select "Select Squad" in the lower right corner.
Tap to select a Pikmin to be placed in the squad. If you want to select many Pikmin at once, tap and hold a Pikmin and slide your finger sideways. If you make a mistake, tap the Pikmin again. Please note that if you select more Pikmin than you have openings in your squad, the "Move" button in the lower right corner will turn a light color and cannot be pressed.
Once you have decided which Pikmin to include in your squad, press "Move" in the lower right corner.
Replace the Pikmin in the squad at once
All the Pikmin in the squad can be replaced at once.
Tap the whistle to display the Pikmin Garden.
Tap the whistle that appears in the lower right corner two times in succession. Then, all Pikmin in the squad will be replaced by standby Pikmin based on certain rules. The rule which is used to replace the squad will be shown on the screen.
Note
- Fruits held by the Pikmin being replaced will be automatically collected.
