Q. (iOS) On the app's home screen, the message "Unable to retrieve recent step counts. Has permission been granted" is displayed.

Please refer to the following article to check if the "Steps" setting is enabled in the "Health Care" app settings.

If you have lost the "Steps" setting, please try uninstall and reinstall the app.


Q. I am a user over 13 years old, but when I try to log in with my Nintendo Account, I get the message "You cannot login with a kids account.”

If the user is 13 years old or older, you will be able to change your child account to a non-child account. For further instructions, please visit the Nintendo Account web page (https://accounts.nintendo.com/), and click on Help located at the bottom of the page.


Q. I am an adult user, but when I try to log in with my Nintendo Account, I get the message "You cannot login with a non-kids account.”

If you entered your date of birth when you first started the app and it was determined that you were a child, you will not be able to log in with your adult Nintendo Account. If your date of birth was entered incorrectly, you can re-enter it by deleting the app and installing it again.


Q.  I have an account playing other Niantic apps (such as Pokémon GO), can I link it to my Nintendo account?

If you already have an account of another Niantic app, we suggest signing up for Pikmin Bloom with a login method you already use. You’ll be able to link a Nintendo Account later.  To link a Nintendo account, after signing up with your existing account, select the gear icon in the upper right corner of your profile screen > Linked Accounts > Nintendo.

When starting Pikmin Bloom with a Nintendo Account, you won’t be able to link it with any login methods used for other Niantic games.


Q. When I added/removed a friend from my Pikmin Bloom friends list, they were also added/removed from my friends list in other games.

Changes to your Friendship list will be carried over across other Niantic apps. Removing a friend in Pikmin Bloom could also remove them from Pokémon GO and other Niantic games.


Q. The users who have become my friends do not appear in my friends list.

It may take a few hours for your friends list to become up-to-date. Please wait for a while until it is updated.
 

Q. (Android) I cannot download or update Pikmin Bloom app from Google Play Store

We have confirmed that the Pikmin Bloom app cannot be downloaded or updated successfully if there are other Niantic apps (Pokémon GO, Monster Hunter Now, etc) on the same device that were downloaded from and installed using a method other than downloading from Google Play Store.

 

Using modified or unofficial software is prohibited by the Niantic Terms of Service and Niantic Player Guidelines and violations will result in a warning, suspension of your account, a diminished gameplay experience, or permanent suspension of your account without warning.


If you are not aware of any such violations, please provide us with your information using the webform.

Known Issues

(Android) Steps are not counted for child accounts

Description: An issue was reported that the steps may not be counted or added when logged in with a child account on an Android device.
Status: Investigating.

(Galaxy S22 Series) Visual glitch of Mii outfits

Description: On Galaxy S22 series, Mii's outfit is displayed in bright pink.

Resolved Issues

v124 Tops or Bottoms Being Removed from Mii Avatars

Description: After the v124 update, some players are experiencing an issue where costumes of unremovable categories (tops or bottoms) have been removed from their Mii avatars.

Status: Resolved.

v124 Push Notification Issue on Some Android Devices

Description: An issue has been identified where players are unable to receive certain push notifications in some Android devices. The specific notifications currently affected are:

  • Invitations to Weekly Challenges

  • Invitations to Mushroom Battles

  • Pikmin Growth notifications

Status: Resolved.

v124 Reactions Sent in Mushroom Battles Not Displaying Correctly

Description: After the v124 update, when sending reactions to fellow participants in Mushroom Battles, the reactions appear on the sender’s user interface but do not display correctly on the recipient's user interface.

Status: Resolved.

Regarding the Scheduled Improvements on the Bird’s Eye View

Description: We received various feedback relating to the Bird’s Eye View. Based on the feedback, the following improvements are scheduled to be made to the Bird’s Eye View related features.

  • For Mushrooms players are invited to via a megaphone, the "Head there" button will no longer be displayed.

  • For distant Mushrooms outside of attackable range: the user information of participants will be removed from the detail screen. Only the total number of participants will be displayed.

*User information of participants will continue to be displayed for the Mushrooms within the attackable range, the Mushrooms players are currently participating and are invited to. 

Status: Update in the v124 release. In addition, a mandatory rollout is scheduled in a week after the version release to ensure these changes are reflected for all users.

v121 Players may not be able to attack mushrooms within visible range

Description: In v121, there was an issue where players could not attack mushrooms displayed in the Walk View or the Expeditions. This issue occurs when the mushrooms are located near the boundary of the visible range. 

Status: Resolved.

(Android) Delayed Push Notifications for Flower-Planting Activities

Description: An issue was reported that push notifications related to flowers-planting being delayed on some Android devices. Depending on the device, players may not be able to delete the push notifications. 
Case 1: After finishing planting flowers, players may receive a notification saying “Planting flowers in the background”. 
Case 2: Hours after finishing planting flowers, players may receive a delayed notification saying “Planting flowers completed”. 

* This is a display issue with push notifications and does not affect the actual amount of petals consumed or the number of flowers planted.

Status: Resolved.

v115 (iOS only) Unable to open external web browser

Description:

Currently, there is a problem with v115 (iOS only) that prevents the opening of external web browsers.

As a result of this,

  • it is not possible to log in to the web store with passwordless log in.

    • When you tap on “Sign in with Pikmin Bloom” in the app, it will launch, but you will not be able to return to the web store or log in.

    • As a workaround at present, please register an Apple or Google account in the game and use that to log in to the web store.

  • The web browser will not open from the URL embedded in the news article

    • Nothing happens when you tap on the link.

We are working on a fix, so please wait a little longer.

Status: This issue has been fixed on 2025/03/18(JST). You need to update the app version to v115.1 to reflect the fix

(Android) Steps are not counted.

Description: Currently, some players are experiencing a problem where their steps are not being counted. Please try reinstalling the app, as this may resolve the issue.
We will continue to investigate this issue.

Status: This issue has been fixed on 2025/02(JST). 

A redirect notice that appears when you tap the links in the email from Niantic

Description: We are currently experiencing an issue where the links in the emails sent by Niantic will not open and will display a redirect notice.
We are currently investigating this issue, so please be patient until it is resolved.

Status: This issue has been fixed on 2025/03/11(JST).

The Mushroom Battle Bullhorn appears in the shop and can be purchased using a child account.

Description:Currently, the Mushroom Battle Bullhorn is being displayed in the shop and can be purchased using a child account. If you have purchased it, please contact the in-game support as it cannot be used in the game.

Status: This issue has been fixed on 2025/02/05(JST).

v110.1 The “Category List” button has disappeared from the Decor Pikmin Collection.

Description:

In v110.1, the “Category List” button that used to appear in the bottom-right of the screen when opening the Decor Picmin Collection is no longer displayed.

As a workaround, please tap on any category in Decor Pikmin Collection and then go back one screen, and the “Category List” button will appear in the bottom right of the screen.

Status: This issue has been fixed on 2025/01/16(JST).
