Dear Hunters,
Thank you for playing Monster Hunter Now daily!
Approximately one and a half months have passed since the release of Style Customization, so we would like to reintroduce its features so that even more people can enjoy it.
“What is Style Customization?”
“Where should I begin?”
“It’s hard to get the needed materials…”
In response to the above, we’d like to explain recent feature improvements, as well as our plans in upcoming updates, so please keep reading until the end!
What is Style Customization?
Style Customization is a system that allows you to further enhance applicable weapons (※1) that have been upgraded to Grade 8 or above. It offers two main benefits:
Weapon stat boosts
You can boost the weapon’s stats, such as attack power.
Style selection
Each weapon type has two style you can choose from, with the chosen style offering different combos, alternative long-press actions, etc. (※2)
※1: The applicable weapons are thosee made from materials dropped by riftborne monsters.
※2: As of August 2025, swords & shields, long swords and light bowguns are the only weapon types you may perform Style Customization on.
※See here for videos introducing each weapon type’s styles and traits.
What are the applicable weapons?
We have received feedback that it is difficult to determine which weapons can undergo Style Customization, as only some weapons are currently eligible. With the update on July 28, filters related to style selection have been added to the filter menu in the equipment screen, making it easier to identify weapons that are eligible for Style Customization and style selection.
“Customizable” filter
Shows only weapons that can undergo Style Customization
“Style Selectable” filter
Shows only weapons that have selectable styles.
Currently, only some weapon types can be selected for Style Customization, but we plan to continue adding new riftborne monsters and customizable weapon types in the future.
Riftborne Great Girros will be added on 8/11, alongside new styles for new styles for great swords.
※Please see here for further details.

About Upcoming Updates
Finally, the development team will respond to questions and comments received from hunters, taking into account future update plans and other factors.
Q. How frequently will new riftborne monsters be added?
A. We will not be adding them seasonally (every 3 months): rather, we hope to add new ones much more frequently than this. In the near future, we will be adding Great Girros in August, and 2 more riftborne species in September.
Q. I’m still unable to select a style on my weapon.
A. August, you will be able to select styles for great swords. Other weapon types will be added in future.
Q. Do you plan to increase the spawn of riftborne monsters?
A. From 7/21 (Mon), riftborne monsters will begin to appear in Hunt-a-thons and Dimensional Links. From 7/28 (Mon), they will also be selectable in the Monster Tracker. We also plan on featuring riftborne monsters in future events.
Thank you for reading all the way to the end.
Here at the development team, we’d like to work on Style Customization even more, releasing updates to make it even easier to use!
