By using this function, you can now search for your own Pikmin, petals, nectar, and postcards!

First, for Pikmin,you can use this function from the magnifying glass icon that appears on the following Pikmin list views.

  • My squad
  • Mushroom
  • Expedition
  • Gift

*Petals, nectar, and postcards are explained at the bottom of this article.

This is a useful feature for players with many Pikmin. Please try it out!

Caution:

  • This function is only available in the language set in the game. For example, if you have set the game language to English, you will only be able to search in English, not in any other language.
  • Capitalization does not matter

Search Keyword Match Criteria

Searchable with partial match

  • Pikmin's name e.g.: If the name is “Pikmin”, you can search by “Pik” or ”pi” etc
  • Name of the place where Pikmin were born  If they were born in “New York”, you can search by “New” or ”York” etc
  • Motif name (decor name) e.g.: For “hair tie” deco, you can search by “hair” etc
  • Location Category Name e.g.; For “fashion”, you can search by “fa”, etc.
  • Name of the flower currently blooming on Pikmin's head e.g. “red lily” can be searched viaby “lily” etc.

Note: searches that include the color of the flower cannot be performed.

Searchable with exact match

  • Color/Type e.g. “red” is searchable, “re” is not
  • Favorite e.g. “favorite” searchable “Favo” s not
  • Flower status e.g. search by “leaf”, “bud”,”flower” and “bloom” 
  • Status e.g.: Searchable only by “squad”, “busy”, or “standby”
  • Year in which Pikmin were pulled from seedlings e.g. 2024
  • Decor e.g. “Decor” is searchable, “Deco” is not.
  • Lifelog e.g. “lifelog” is searchable, “life” is not.
  • Searchable by number of hearts (range search)
  • Friendship level
    • Whole number of ❤️ (e.g., if you search 1*, you will see greater than or equal to❤️1 and less than ❤️2)
      E.g.: When searching 3*, ❤️3.5 will appear
    • Able to search in a specified range
      E.g.:  2-* shows ❤️2 and above
              -3* shows less than ❤️4 (e.g.❤️3.9)
                2-3*  shows greater than or equal to ❤️2 and less than ❤️4 (e.g.❤️3.9)

Available search condition symbols

  1. OR: “|” or “ ;” e.g. Red|Blue to display red or blue Pikmin.
  2. AND : “  “ (space, full-width and half-width are acceptable) “&” or “ ,”
    e.g.: Red Bronx to display red Pikmin obtained in Bronx
  3. NOT : “ ! “ e.g.: ! Red to display non-red Pikmin.
  4. Definition of a group: Enclose in parentheses “ (” and “ )”. e.g.: blue (cafe; =restaurant) to display blue Pikmin categorized by care or restaurant 
  5. Quotation marks: (")
    When enclosed in quotation marks, the search is performed as-is for the characters inside the quotation marks.
    Special characters (space, |, &,!,=, etc.) can also be searched.
    *It does not matter if it is a full match or a partial match.
    E.g.: If you want to search for a store name with & as a character rather than a symbol, such as "rock & flower", use this method.
  6. Equal “=” forces exact match e.g.: When searching by “flower”, both Pikmin with flowers on their heads and Deco Pikmin such as “Flower card” will be displayed, so if you want to search only for “flower”,  you can search by =“flower”
  7. Priority: Group > NOT > AND > OR
    Example: (blue; red) & ! Sunnyvale
    Result: blue or red Pikmin not born in Sunnyvale

Postcard text search function

Search criteria are as follows

  • Title of the location (partial match)
  • Year found (exact match)
  • Favorite (exact match)
  • Mushroom score (range search) 
  • Gift (exact match) The postcards sent from your friends
  • Mushroom (exact match) The postcards obtained from Mushroom Battles
  • Expedition (exact match) The postcards obtained from expeditions

Text search function for petals and nectar

Search criteria are as follows

  • Color (exact match)
  • Type (partial match)
  • Seasonal  (exact match) Enter “seasonal” to search for seasonal petals and nectar of that month

 

Frequently Asked Questions and Answers

Searching for the name of the flower on Pikmin's head, but it doesn't show up

Please search by only the type of flower, not with the colors.

For example, you can search for Pikmin that have water lily flowers by using the keyword “water lily” or partial matches. 

No corresponding Pikmin are displayed in the conditional search

For example, if you search for red & London and it does not appear, it means that there are no red Pikmin originally obtained in the area, so please check your Pikmin again.

Keyword search does not show any corresponding Pikmin

As noted above, only exact matches are available for some keywords, so please check the search rules above again.

Searching for Pimin’s friendship level 3 or less, but more than 3 are shown

A search for “-3*” will show levels above ❤️0 and below ❤️4(e.g.3.9), as noted above. Therefore, if you wish to search for levels below ❤️8(💛4), please search with “-7*”.

If you wish to search for levels below ❤️1, use “0*” to display levels from ❤️0 to less than ❤️1.(0-0.9)
