Exploration bases are local landmarks that hunters can grow together by cooperating with each other. 

Throughout each Wave’s base development period that spans around 4 weeks, hunters from around the area can grow exploration bases by making Exploration Reports by submitting emblems such as Exploration Emblems. 

Monsters Outbreaks are bound to occur during the base development period.

The higher the base’s level, the greater the slaying goal - but also the rewards!

Moreover, in the last week of each Wave, riftcharged monsters will appear around the base.

Once the base development period ends you'll be recognized for your contributions to the Exploration Bases in the Base Awards, where you’ll be able to check out the world's top ranked hunters. Let’s celebrate everyone’s effort together!

 

Notes

  • For the base development periods and Monster Outbreaks schedules, please check the News page on our official site.

  • Once the base development period ends, the status of the exploration base, collected Slaying Emblems, and Base Reputation will reset. However, Exploration Emblems will not reset!

  • At least HR 11 is required to access the exploration bases.

  • Make sure to follow the Niantic Terms of Service and Niantic Player Guidelines, be aware of your surroundings and try not to disturb other people around you, including other hunters as well as residents of the area.

  • Once the base development period ends, there is around 1 day break before a new base development period starts. During this time, it’s possible to still collect Exploration Emblems, but not Slaying Emblems.

How to Access to the Exploration Base

  1. Tap the Exploration Base button on the bottom right side of the main screen.

  2. Tap any exploration base displayed on the field.

Notes

  • You can view the details and submit your reports outside of the access range. However, if you want to participate in a Monster Outbreak, the exploration base needs to be inside the access range.

  • Only the nearest exploration base is displayed in the wide view.

What can be done at the Exploration Base

  • The current base reputation can be checked in the upper right corner.

  • You can toggle the view between the Exploration Base screen and Monster Outbreak screen with the button on the upper right part of the screen.

  • You can access the details screen by tapping the banner.

  • By tapping on “View on Map”, you can check the locations of exploration bases on the Monster Hunter Now map. By tapping on “Get Directions” you can check the route to the base on your smartphone’s map application.
