It is a weapon type that switches between Axe and Sword Mode to your advantage! Switch between the wide range of Axe Mode and the powerful Sword Mode. Axe Mode's attacks offer a long reach, while Sword Mode uses phials to dish out high damage.

Basic Controls

Morphing

You can morph by tapping the Special Skill button.

※ (Only in Sword Mode) Tapping when the Special Gauge is full will trigger a Zero Sum Discharge.

Hold down and flick up while attacking in Axe Mode to perform a Morph Slash and enter Sword Mode. Hold down and flick up while in Sword Mode to perform a Morph Slash and return to Axe Mode.

Switch Gauge

Switch Gauge is necessary to perform attacks while in Sword Mode. The gauge builds up both over time and by attacking in Axe Mode. Perfect evades will also fill the gauge in both modes. Once the gauge runs out, you'll return to Axe Mode.

Phials

Each switch axe is set with its own phial types. Sword Mode attacks (with some exceptions) have different effects based on the set phial. There are 5 types of phials, each with differing effects.

Element Discharge -Sword Mode-

By long pressing and releasing while in Sword Mode, you can plunge the sword into a monster. Then, by tapping repeatedly, you can perform a follow-up attack.

Special Skill -Zero Sum Discharge-

After the Special Gauge is full, tap the Special Skill button while in Sword Mode to thrust the sword and release energy while clinging to the monster.
