You can use the AR Camera to take photos of Large monsters.
Notes:
To use the AR Camera, you need to ensure that you have the compatible device and that the app has access to your camera.As of September 2023, the following devices are supported for AR camera use:
Google Pixel 4 or newer
iPhone 8 or newer
Samsung Galaxy S9 or newer
Due to the large size of the monsters, you'll need a spacious area for AR Camera. Make sure to check your surroundings and move to a wide and safe location before using the AR Camera.
Stay aware of your surroundings and use the AR Camera in a safe place.
How to Activate AR Camera:
Tap on 'AR' at the upper left corner of the Hunt prep screen of Large monsters in the field, Urgent Quest monsters or Marked monsters.
Note: Monsters are very large, so AR Camera requires ample space. Please use this feature only in spacious areas where you can confirm the safety of your surroundings.
(First-time only) Tap on 'Allow Access' when prompted with the message requesting camera access.
Tap on 'OK' when prompted with the message 'Monster Hunter Now would like to access the camera.'
Tap on 'OK' when prompted with the message 'Monster Hunter Now Would Like to Add to your Photos.'
Tap 'OK when prompted with the message displayed.
When you see the message 'Ensure that you move the camera slowly, while in a flat, open area,' focus the camera on a flat surface.
Once you see the message ‘Tap to make a monster appear,’ tap on the desired spot to place the monster.
Once you see the message 'Confirm that your surroundings are safe while taking AR photos.’, tap on the Camera icon at your preferred timing to save an AR photo. By tapping on the monster, you can get their attention or make them angry.

Reality Blending
Reality Blending is an advanced feature in Augmented Reality (AR) that utilizes sophisticated mapping technology to seamlessly integrate virtual objects with the real-world environment. By enabling Reality Blending in AR Camera, the display of a monster on the screen appears more immersive and connected to the surroundings captured by your device's camera.
This advanced AR feature is available for users with the following devices:
Google Pixel 4 or higher
iPhone 8 or higher
Samsung Galaxy S9 or higher
To turn off Reality Blending mode, tap the monster icon displayed on the right side of the screen.
Monster Repositioning
By tapping the button displayed at the bottom right of the screen, you can reposition the monsters.

Q: I see the message 'Ensure that you move the camera slowly, while in a flat, open area' and the large monster is not displayed.
Slowly move the camera over a flat and spacious surface like the floor. Additionally, try turning off and then on the AR function by pressing the AR button, and then move the camera slowly. If the issue persists, try it in a larger space.
Q: (Android) I can't find the 'AR' button.
