Upgrading Equipment (Hunter Rank 4 & above)
Gather Monster materials, other Materials, and Zenny to upgrade your Equipment. You can upgrade Equipment on the Upgrade Equipment screen.
Upgradable Equipment will be denoted by the Upgradable icon, which is a green arrow shown in the upper-right corner of the item graphic.
Tap on Equipment from the Main Screen.
Tap on a weapon or piece of armor with a green arrow (Upgradable icon) on it to display the Equipment Details screen.
Tap on Level Up to display the Upgrade Equipment screen.
Tap on Level Up again to complete the reinforcement process.
*Tapping on a green arrow (Upgradable icon) will take you to the Upgrade Equipment screen instead of the Equipment Details screen.
Forging Equipment (Hunter Rank 6 & above)
You can use Monster materials to forge various kinds of weapons and armor. Some weapons are imbued with an Element, and inflict more damage on monsters that are weak against that particular Element.
Forgeable Equipment will have a red hammer icon (the Forgeable icon) in the upper-right corner of the item graphic.
Tap on Equipment from the Main Screen.
Tap on a weapon or piece of armor with a red hammer (the Forgeable icon) on it.
Tap on Forge.
Overgrading Equipment (Hunter Rank 11 & above)
Upgrading Equipment to Level 5 lets you overgrade that Equipment. Overgrading the equipment to a specific grade unlocks the available skills set for that equipment. You can check the skills equipped on the equipment and their unlocking grade in the equipment details screen. Overgrading a weapon to Grade 2 unlocks a powerful Special skill.
Overgradable Equipment, like upgradable Equipment, will have a green arrow (Upgradable icon) in the upper-right corner of the item graphic.
Tap on Equipment from the Main Screen.
Tap on a weapon or piece of armor with a green arrow (Upgradable icon) on it to display the Equipment Details screen.
Tap on Upgrade to display the Upgrade Equipment screen.
Tap on Upgrade again to complete the process.
※Tapping on a green arrow (Upgradable icon) on them will take you to the Upgrade Equipment screen instead of the Equipment Details screen.
※Currently, both weapons and armor can be overgraded to grade 10.
※By tapping on the icon of the material required for upgrading, you can see the following information about that material:
Rarity
Stock number

Use Gems as substitutes for materials
From 2025/12/04 (v111), it is possible to substitute for some of the lacking materials with Gems when forging or upgrading.
This change makes upgrading weapons and armors even easier!
※Only gatherable materials and small monster materials of Rarity 1 can be substituted. Please confirm the list of materials here (As of 2025/12/4)
