If you’re unable to get the app to load or see a blank screen at startup, try the steps below to troubleshoot your issue.

Allow some time for the app download game assets

When opening Harry Potter: Wizards Unite for the first time, the app will download essential resources you’ll need to access the game. Please be patient as it may take up to 10 minutes for the game to load in some network conditions. Make sure your phone screen doesn’t timeout and prevent the app from downloading these items.

Check your internet connection

Ensure your device is connected to a reliable data connection (Wifi, 3G, or 4G). Try switching internet sources: if you have trouble connecting to Wifi, try to connect using 3G or 4G. If you have trouble connecting to 3G or 4G, try to connect using Wifi.

To ensure the best experience: turn on Location Accuracy in your device settings to use GPS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, cellular networks, or in any combination available.

Note: If using wifi and a mobile connection, your phone may automatically connect to public wifi networks that require you to login to access the internet (like cafes, libraries, and shops). You may experience an issue where the game is unable to load items on the Map until you log in to the network. You may want to consider preventing your phone from automatically connecting to these networks to prevent losing connectivity while walking past these locations.

Disable battery saver mode (Android & iOS)

Some of the required services to play Harry Potter: Wizards Unite are running in the background. These services are unable to run when you use battery saving mode. Information on how to disable battery saver mode on Android devices and on iOS devices.

Uninstall and reinstall Harry Potter: Wizards Unite
