Link Charges are a newly discovered energy source that is used to enter Mega Raids. When challenging a Mega Raid in-person, Trainers will have the option to use Link Charges, free Raid Passes or Premium Battle Passes. Additionally, both Link Charges and a Remote Raid Pass are required when entering a Super Mega Raid remotely.
How do I collect Link Charges?
All Trainers will receive an item called a Link Holder that will appear in the Item Bag upon receiving your first Link Charges. The Link Charges you collect will be stored in the Link Holder.
Please Note: The Link Holder has a maximum limit to how many Link Charges it can hold at a time. Trainers can view how many Link Charges they have at any time by tapping on the Link Holder in the Item Bag.
You can collect Link Charges by completing certain social activities. Some of these activities, such as completing a Weekly Challenge or checking in to official Meetups hosted by Community Ambassadors, will guarantee receiving Link Charges. Other activities, such as opening Gifts, will provide a chance to receive Link Charges but will not guarantee it.
Please Note: Trainers who have a ticket to either Pokémon GO Tour: Kalos - Tainan or Pokémon GO Tour: Kalos - Los Angeles will be able to receive Link Charges by purchasing them in the store or buying the Tour Pass Deluxe during the live event. Link Charges will become available to receive through social actions for all Trainers once Road to Kalos begins, and will become available for purchase in the store once Pokémon GO Tour: Kalos - Global begins in your region.
