The GO Pass is a reward system that runs for a set duration of time.  Complete various gameplay activities to earn points and progress through the GO Pass and earn rewards like items, avatar items, Pokémon Candy, Pokémon encounters, timed bonuses and more.

The GO Pass may feature two tracks of rewards:

  • The Basic Pass available to all participating Trainers at no cost.

  • The Deluxe Pass that can be purchased via the in-app Shop.

During the event, you can view the GO Pass and your progress in the Events Tab of the Today View.

Please Note: Each GO Pass may have a unique name corresponding to its specific event (e.g. Tour Pass for Pokémon GO Tour’s GO Pass).

How do I progress through the GO Pass?

Complete various gameplay activities to earn points. A certain number of points are required to progress through each rank in the GO Pass. The more points you earn, the more ranks and rewards you’ll unlock!

Please Note: In certain circumstances, you may only be able to earn a certain number of GO Pass points within a day.

There are two ways that points can be earned. The first is through regular gameplay activities like catching Pokémon, hatching Eggs, participating in raids, etc. These actions may vary depending on the specifics of the GO Pass. As you complete these activities, your progress is automatically tracked and any points earned will count toward both Basic and Deluxe Passes.

The second is a set of specific tasks that are similar to Research Tasks, in that they ask you to complete a specific set of actions. For example, you may need to catch a certain number of Pokémon, or power up a specific Pokémon Type. These tasks may appear at a varied cadence (e.g. daily or hourly) depending on the GO Pass.

What's the difference between the Basic and Deluxe Pass?

While both Basic and Deluxe GO Passes allow you to progress through ranks and earn rewards, the Basic Pass is available to all players at no cost, while the Deluxe Pass requires an in-app purchase to unlock and may provide more valuable or rare rewards.

Both Passes progress simultaneously, allowing you to claim all potential rewards as you advance.

Keep in mind that certain events do require a paid ticket in order to participate and therefore receive the Basic Pass (e.g. Pokémon GO Tour: Los Angeles or Pokémon GO Tour: New Taipei City).

Can I upgrade to the Deluxe Pass after starting the event?

Yes! You can upgrade to the Deluxe Pass any time that the GO Pass is active by purchasing access through the in-app shop. When you upgrade, you'll automatically get all rewards from Basic Pass ranks that you've previously unlocked.

How long do I have to complete the GO Pass?

Each GO Pass is tied to a specific duration. Once it ends, the GO Pass will no longer be available, and any unclaimed rewards will expire. However, there will be a grace period following the conclusion, during which you may still claim your rewards. This period may vary depending on the specific circumstances.

Please Note: that the support team will be unable to restore access to the GO Pass or grant unclaimed rewards after the duration has ended.
