I made changes to my login but do not recognize the information on the email:

The Apple email is different from the one tied to my account.

Answer: You may have signed in with Apple and chosen “Hide My Email.” If you linked an account with Sign in with Apple and selected “Hide my Email,” your account may be associated with an email address ending in privaterelay.appleid.com. This relay email address was automatically generated for you by Apple and remains linked to your Apple ID. To check your Apple relay email ID, go to your settings > Tap your profile at the top > Sign-in and security > Sign in with Apple > Select the app you sign in with.

Facebook email is not included.

Answer: You may have signed in with Facebook and chosen to hide your email. If you created an account with Facebook and chose to hide your email, you may see no email associated with your account and the confirmation email you received would not contain an email address.

I don’t recognize the device.

Answer: If the device looks unfamiliar in the confirmation email that you receive, double check the device information of the device you used when you were making any changes to your account.

The time the change was made is in the wrong time zone or the date is incorrect.

Answer: The time zone may differ due to VPN use, travel, or your ISP's connection location.

I did not make any changes to my account recently:

Follow these steps immediately to secure your account

  1. Login to Pokémon GO with the login providers linked to your account, try all login providers linked to your account

    1. Under settings > account > check that you recognize your logins

    2. Unlink any emails or logins you don’t recognize

  2. Login to my.nianticlabs.com  with the sign in provider, go to settings > sign-in methods, ensure that you recognize all the login providers on your account (see above section for “I made changes to my login..” if you don’t recognize some of the information)

    1. Unlink any login providers you do not recognize or no longer have access to.

  3. If you’re unable to complete step B, try visiting the account recovery page to see if you recognize all login providers tied to your account, you may go to “update sign-in methods” if you do not recognize one or more login.

  4. Change your account passwords immediately and use your login provider settings to revoke all other access to your account. Niantic doesn't store your passwords. You'll need to manage them directly with your login provider (like Google or Facebook).

If you’re unable to restore access to your account, please contact support. We advise that you follow the above steps first before contacting support so that you can gain immediate access back to your account.
