The Niantic Profile web portal opens up the ability to manage your game information on a game-by-game basis. With new Visibility settings, you can specify which groups see the games you play, whether that's everyone, friends, or only yourself.
Visibility settings by Group
- Everyone: The game and all associated game information (in-game name, level, faction, and recent activity) on the game profile are publicly visible on your profile.
- Friends: The game and all associated game information (in-game name, level, faction, and recent activity) on the game profile are only visible to your Niantic friends.
- Only Me: The game and all associated game information (in-game name, level, faction, and recent activity) on the game profile are only visible to you.
Note: Your Visibility settings for a game are essential for allowing Friends to identify you on their Friends List. When a game is hidden, your Niantic Friend will not be able to search you by your in-game name for that game.
- [Pokémon GO & Ingress players only] Visibility settings are defaulted to 'Only Me' if you toggled OFF the option to 'Let my Friends see my usernames from all Niantic Games' from the Niantic profile settings in Pokémon GO or Ingress.
