Niantic ID is your primary, unique identity across all of Niantic's games and experiences. Players may change their Niantic ID only once.

Does changing the casing on my Niantic ID count as a change?

We heard the feedback from the Niantic Community during the November 2021 Niantic ID reservation period and have listened to the resounding feedback that the casing is essential to your Niantic ID username. Within the Niantic Profile web portal, you will be able to freely edit the letter casing of your Niantic ID. Changing the case of your Niantic ID will not be counted towards your Niantic ID change limit, even if multiple characters are modified.
