Styles (Bow)
Bow styles are as follows:
Style 1 - Dodgebolt
This style allows you to increase the charge level of your shots with each tap, as well as counterattack while evading monster’s attacks, making it possible to attack continuously without a break!
Evasion changes to Dodgebolt, and long-press action changes to Arc Shot.
Main actions of the Dodgebolt style:
Firing
Firing becomes Charged Shots when tapping, and each tap increases the charged level as follows: Charge Level 1 ▶ Charge Level 2 ▶ Charge Level 3 ▶ Charge Level 4, allowing you to fire arrows set for each charge level.
※ After firing at Charge Level 4, the charge resets to Level 1.
※ In the Dodgebolt style, status buildup value is halved compared to normal.
Dodgebolt
Evasion in all directions is changed to Dodgebolt.
When evading a monster’s attack, a close-range attack with an arrow will occur at the same time.
Furthermore, performing a Dodgebolt increases the charge level of your next shot.
※If you perform a Dodgebolt after a Charge Level 4 shot, your next shot will reset to Charge Level 1.
Examples:
・Shot charge level 1 ▶ Dodgebolt ▶ Shot charge level 2
・Shot charge level 4 ▶ Dodgebolt ▶ Shot charge level 1
・Dodgebolt ▶ Shot charge level 1
When performing a normal Dodgebolt, it automatically changes into a shot.
When performing Dodgebolt with perfect evade, tapping will lead to charge level 4 shot, while flicking up will lead to Lunging Melee Attack
Arc Shot
Long press ▶ Release
Although the elemental damage is reflected in the Arc Shot, status buildup does not occur.
Furthermore, it is possible to stun a monster when repeatedly hitting the monster's head.
Lunging Melee Attack
This is a powerful close-range attack performed after a successful perfect evade with Dodgebolt.
※Skyward Striker skill is effective for this attack.
The shot after the Lunging Melee Attack has its charge level increased.
Tips:
・Since there is no need to charge up, Focus skill can be substituted.
・You cannot perform Dodgebolts consecutively, since after a normal Dodgebolt the action automatically transitions into a shot, creating a risk of getting hit. Therefore, it’s important to carefully assess when a monster is about to use a powerful or consecutive attack, as these moments carry a higher risk of taking damage.
Style 2 - Power Volley
This style increases the charging time, for which it delivers a powerful shot or Power Shot afterwards.
Main actions of the Power Volley style:
Power Volley
With this style you can unleash an additional Power Volley after tapping to Power Shot.
When initiating a charge, the sequence follows as:
Charge ▶ Charged Shot (charge level 1~4) ▶ Power Shot (charge level 1~4) ▶ Power Volley (charge level 1~4).
※The charge level of the initial Charged Shot determines the charge levels of the Power Shot and Power Volley that follow.
Examples:
・Charged Shot (charge level 2) ▶ Power Shot (charge level 2) ▶ Power Volley (charge level 2)
・Charged Shot (charge level 3) ▶ Power Shot (charge level 3) ▶ Power Volley (charge level 3)
・Charged Shot (charge level 4) ▶ Power Shot (charge level 4) ▶ Power Volley (charge level 4)
Effects of increased charge levels
Starting from Charge Level 2, the power of Charged Shots, Power Shots, and Power Volleys increases with each charge level.
Successive Charging Sidestep
This style allows you to perform Charging Sidestep from charge level 1. Furthermore, after Charging Sidestep you can continue to long-press to keep charging, and by holding and flicking up, you can perform multiple Charging Sidesteps consecutively.
Perfect Evade
After performing a perfect evade, the charging time is reduced.
Tips
・Following the Charged Shot with a Power Volley up can deal high damage. Try to maintain your charge level as long as possible by utilizing perfect evades and Charging Sidesteps and aim to shoot Power Volleys with the highest possible charge level.
・Equipping the Focus skill is a good match for the Power Volley playstyle.
