Swap between the light Sword Mode or the heavy Axe Mode as you hunt. Build up energy in Sword Mode, then switch to Axe Mode for high damage!

Sword Energy and Phials

Build up Sword Energy and the gauge will start to change color. Once the gauge turns yellow, you can charge phials. Phials are essential to your offense, so make sure to charge them up!

If your weapon overheats, your damage in Sword Mode will decrease

Basic Combos -Sword Mode-

Controls: Tap

Charge -Sword Mode-

Controls: Guard ▶ Flick down (Gauge is above yellow)

Converts your current energy into a phial.

Morph Slash -Sword into Axe-

Controls: Tap Special Skill button

Transform into Axe Mode while charging up a phial.

Element Discharge -Axe Mode-

Controls: Tap ▶Tap

Consumes a phial to perform a powerful elemental attack.

Morph Slash -Axe into Sword-

Controls: Tap Special Skill button (Special Gauge not full)

Transform into Sword Mode while unleashing an attack.

Special Skill -Super Charged Element Discharge-

Controls: Tap Special Skill button when Special Gauge is full.

Fully discharge your elemental power into a single, mighty attack!

Guard/Charge -Sword Mode-

Controls: Long press

Charge up while guarding, then release for a Charged Double Slash. Landing a Charged Double

Slash will fill up your energy by a large amount

Amped Element Discharge -Axe Mode-

Controls: Element Discharge ▶ Tap

Use up a phial after an Element Discharge for a powerful additional attack.

Controls: Long press

Long press while in Axe Mode for an Amped Element Discharge.

Sword Mode▶Amped Element Discharge

Controls: Long press ▶ Flick down ▶ Flick up ▶ Long press

This attack can also be performed during a combo from Sword Mode.

Controls: Knocked back while guarding ▶ Long press

If not knocked back too far, you can quickly transform after guarding.

Element Boost State

Controls: Just before Amped Element Discharge is activated ▶ Flick up

Use up all of your charged phials to enter the Element Boost state.

With each phial consumed your time in Element Boost will increase.

Sword Mode offers better guarding, while Axe Mode grants higher damage.

Super Amped Element Discharge

Amped Elem. Discharge becomes Super Amped Elem. Discharge in Elem. Boost.

Boasting even greater power, this is the ultimate attack of the charge blade!

Attacks with Auto-Guarding

Some actions allow for automatic guarding.

Sword: Roundslash (At end of action)

Sword into Axe: Morph Slash (At beginning of action)

Axe into Sword: Morph Slash (At end of action)

Element Boost Spinning Slash (At end of action)
