Habitats

In Monster Hunter Now, there are Forest, Desert, Swamp, and Tundra(※) Habitats, each with corresponding gathering points and large monsters.
Please check the following FAQ for more details regarding gathering points corresponding to their habitats.
※ Tundra unlocks at Hunter Rank 11.

By tapping the Habitat icon displayed in the top left corner of the Main screen, you can check what discoveries are available in that Habitat.

*Please note that information about large monsters that only appear during Hunt-a-thons or events is also included.

*Changes to the habitats were made on March 14, 2024. Previously, the habitats would switch once per day without fail. However, now the specific habitat that appears upon switching is randomly determined. As a result, the same habitat may persist for several days.

Volatile territory

Each Habitat can become volatile, and in those Volatile territories, when you tap on a large monster, another large monster may invade.

You will only know if a special large monster has invaded when you are in the Volatile territory and tap a large monster in your access circle.

  • Habitats that become volatile will visually change from their usual appearance.

Frequently Asked Question

Q: When I tapped on the large monster I intended to hunt, a different monster invaded, and even though I successfully defeated the invading monster, the original one I wanted to hunt disappeared.

A: If a special large monster that appears only in Volatile territory invades, you won't be able to hunt the original large monster you tapped before the Invasion.
