GENERAL TROUBLESHOOTING STEPS

Try completing the troubleshooting steps below in the order presented. 

Ensure your device is eligible to play Monster Hunter Now

Please check supported device requirement here

Ensure your Monster Hunter Now app is up to date

Monster Hunter Now works best when using the newest version of the app. If you’re experiencing an issue with an older version of the app, please update your Monster Hunter Now app and see if this fixes the problem for you.
 
  1. Open the Google Play Store app.
  2. On the top left, tap the menu button.
  3. Tap the My apps & games menu option.
  4. Navigate to the Monster Hunter Now app and tap the Update button.

Check your internet connection

Ensure your device is connected to a reliable data connection (Wifi, 3G, or 4G). Try switching internet sources: if you have trouble connecting to Wifi, try to connect using 3G or 4G. If you have trouble connecting to 3G or 4G, try to connect using Wifi.
 
 
 

Use automatic system time

Make sure that your device's time and date is set to update automatically. You can update your system time using your device’s Settings app.
 
  1. Visit the Settings app.
  2. Under Date & Time, turn on the Automatic date & time and Automatic time zone settings.

Clear Monster Hunter Now app data and cache

By clearing app data and cache, you may be able to resolve temporary issues affecting Monster Hunter Now. Please note that the following steps may vary depending on your device.
 
  1. Open the Settings app on your device.
  2. Tap Storage Games.
  3. Select the Monster Hunter Now app.
  4. Tap Clear cache.

Note: Refreshing your game data may untoggle Adventure Sync. If you have Adventure Sync enabled, check that it's still toggled on after refreshing.
 

Check your device’s background data restrictions

Ensure that your phone has not restricted background data access to Google Play Services and Google Play Store.  Learn how to turn on background data.
 

Uninstall and reinstall Monster Hunter Now

Delete the Pokémon GO app and reinstall the latest official version from the  Google Play Store. Your game progress will not be lost by performing these steps, as all game progress is stored online.
 

Reconnect Google’s access to Monster Hunter Now (Google accounts only)

You may be able to resolve login issues by refreshing Google’s connection to Monster Hunter Now. Your game progress will not be lost by performing these steps.
 
  1. Visit the Google connected apps settings page and select Monster Hunter Now from the list of connected apps.
  2. Click the Remove button to disconnect Monster Hunter Now from your Google account. 
  3. To reconnect your Google account, log into Monster Hunter Now as you normally would. Open Monster Hunter Now on your phone and log in using your Google account.
 

Remove your Google account from your device (Google accounts only)

If all other steps do not resolve your issue, try removing and adding your Google account to your device.
 
When you remove the account, your email, contacts, settings, and other information associated with the account is removed from your local storage until you add the account back to your device. Be sure that you complete these steps with adequate time to allow for your account data to download.
 
To remove the email account from your device:
  1. Open the Settings app on your device.
  2. Tap the Accounts menu option.
  3. Select your account. If you have multiple Google accounts, select the Google account you used to log into Monster Hunter Now.
  4. Tap Remove account.
 
To add the account back to your device:
  1. Open the Settings app on your device.
  2. Tap the Accounts menu option.
  3. Tap Add Account.
  4. Select Google from the list of account types.
  5. Follow the prompts to complete this process.
