Chaos Traits are unique and special traits that some Feral Dots and Wild Dots possess that may not have a name attributed to them yet. These traits are randomly generated from Peridot’s procedural generation system.

You can tell a Dot has a Chaos trait by tapping on the map, selecting a Feral/Wild Dot, and looking at their traits. Undiscovered Chaos Traits will have a blank name and rainbow colored icon. Also, Chaos Traits themselves may look a little more wacky than other discovered traits! These undiscovered traits will not have a name until the first user discovers it.

When you rescue a Feral Dot with an unnamed Chaos Trait, it will appear in Visitor Dots. Visitor Dots can be viewed by tapping on the briefcase on the left hand side of your screen. Wild Dots with Chaos Traits may also randomly appear in Habitats or in your Visitor Dots section. 

If you hatch a Dot from a Feral Dot you rescued or a Wild Dot and it inherits the undiscovered Chaos Trait, you'll have a chance to give it a name! Once named, your Keeper Name and the trait's name will always be visible whenever any Dot possesses that trait. If you are in incognito mode, your username will not be displayed, the trait will be labeled as “Anonymous”. You can rename a Chaos Trait at any time by tapping on the trait while viewing a Dot's information.

Note: Please be sure to follow player guidelines when naming Chaos Traits. 

 

Chaos Traits discovered by other users will also have the chance to appear on Feral Dots or Wild Dots, especially during some special events. You’ll also be able to hatch with these discovered Chaos Traits from your friends list, by visiting the Trait Library tab, or by uploading a Dot card featuring a Dot with a discovered Chaos Trait. The Visitor icon on the  Home screen is now called “Discover”. Search the Trait Library tab to see all traits ever discovered by the Keeper community. You can hatch with any discovered Chaos Traits listed in the Library!. You can also use the Upload tab to upload any Keeper’s Dot Cards that you may want to hatch with.

With exciting player generated Chaos Traits, Dots are now more unique than ever! With the rollout of Chaos Traits, we will lessen the focus of the game on Archetypes and instead put the power in the hands of Keepers to create and share a wide variety of their own unique Dot creations with others.
