You can add friends in NBA All-World to stay connected with Ballers that you meet on and off the court. All Ballers have a unique 12-digit Friend Code. You can use this code to add others as your friends.
Ballers can view and accept or deny Friend Requests through their Friend List. If they accept your request, you will become friends with one another and you’ll be able to see their Profile through your Friend List. If they don’t respond, your Friend Request will expire after 7 days.
You can have up to 400 friends in your Niantic Friend List, including friends from other Niantic Apps. Once you reach this limit, you'll need to remove friends before you can add new ones.
To Add a Friend:
- In Map View, navigate to your Baller Profile.
- Tap the Friends tab at the top of the screen to open your Friend List.
- Tap the Add Friend button. To add using their 12-digit Friend Code,
enter the Friend Code of the person you’d like to send a Friend Request to.
If you already have friends in other Niantic apps who also play NBA All-World, they will appear in your Friend List in NBA All-World.
If you would like to change your Friend Code, tap on the refresh icon to permanently reset your Friend Code.
Adding Friends from Search:
If you don't have time to grab a Friend Code, you can use the convenient Search function to look up Ballers by their username. You must know the full username in order to search for their profile.

Note: If you would like to prevent others from searching for your profile, you can disable the ability to search for your username in this Search for Baller tab.
Adding Facebook Friends:
You can also choose to import your Facebook Friends into NBA All-World.

Note: Niantic won't have access to a list of all your Facebook Friends. We will only have access to a Friend List consisting of Facebook Friends who are already on NBA All-World and have also chosen to import Facebook Friends. When a Facebook Friend imports their data into NBA All-World, your Facebook Profile name and photo will be used along with your Baller name, so Friends can recognize your profile. You can always change your mind and remove a friend from your Friend List at any time. You can always edit your app permissions at any time within the Settings tab on Facebook.
Adding Friends from your Contacts:
You can grant permission for NBA All-World to access your device’s Contacts. Once you have synced your Contacts with NBA All-World, you can either invite them to create a new account or add them as a Friend if their NBA All-World account matches an email address in your Contacts.
To sync your Contacts:
- In Map View, navigate to your Baller Profile.
- Tap the Friends tab at the top of the screen to open your Friend List.
- Tap Contacts to learn more. Tapping Add Friends from Contacts will prompt you to confirm your name and sync your Contacts with NBA All-World. Note that you can change your name at any time from Niantic Profile account settings. Only 2,000 contacts are able to sync with NBA All-World. If your Contacts list is larger than this, you may not see your entire list.
- Once your Contacts have synced with NBA All-World, you can browse your contacts within NBA All-World and either add them to your Friend List or invite them to play NBA All-World.
- To invite a friend to play NBA All-World:
Tap Invite to Play and select how you would like to send an invitation (SMS or email). - To add a contact who already plays NBA All-World as a Friend:
Tap Send Friend Request to send a friend request to another Baller. Your name will be attached to your request along with your username so that Friends can recognize you.
Please note that once you have synced your Contacts with NBA All-World, any new additions to your contacts will be periodically re-synced when you start the app. You can revoke access to your Contacts at any time through your device contacts permissions settings. Synced Contacts are stored securely on our servers; additionally, contact names are not uploaded, and raw contact information is not stored. Contacts are not stored permanently in NBA All-World and will expire if you revoke access.
If you do not want to receive Friend invites from Ballers who may have you in their Contacts, you can opt out through your Niantic Profile Settings. If you opt out, other Ballers can still send you invitations to play NBA All-World using your Friend Code or through Facebook.
