Before we can create a Niantic Kids account for a child, we’re required by law to get consent from the child’s parent. We can't just take you at your word - the law requires “verified parental consent”, which means that we need to verify your identity before you can give consent for your child.

One method for verifying your identity uses your name, date of birth, mailing address, and your CPF number to verify against government records. Alternatively, you can verify your identity by credit card

Your name, date of birth, mailing address, and CPF number will NOT be shared with Niantic. This process is handled by SuperAwesome and Serpro, in accordance with their own Privacy Policies. This information is collected solely to verify your identity and will NOT be stored or used for any other purpose after the initial check.
