Why do you need my business license?

In order to ensure that the submitted business is located where it claims to be, we ask that you submit a valid business license. These details will not be shared with anyone outside of Niantic and are used for verification purposes only.

If your business does not have a business license, we may ask for additional documentation to verify your business.

What happens after I submit my application?

Our team carefully reviews each SMB application to ensure that the SMB in question adheres to our Sponsored Location Guidelines & Policy. This process typically takes a few business days.

Once your application has been reviewed, you will get an email informing you of our team’s decision. In order to check the review status of your SMB application, simply go to your SMB Dashboard (https://sponsor.nianticlabs.com/.) Pending means that your application has not yet been reviewed. Accepted means that your application has been reviewed and meets criteria. Rejected means that your application has been reviewed and does not meet criteria.

After your application is approved, you will be able to submit your business locations for review.
