Hey hunters,

This is the Monster Hunter Now Development Team. Thank you as always for playing Monster Hunter Now!

In our last letter, we introduced the new weapon upgrading feature, Style Customization, added in Season 6. With Season 7, we’ve updated it even further, and today we'll be diving into the details!

What is Style Customization?

Style customization is a system that lets you upgrade eligible grade 8+ weapons (*1) even further. It has two key elements:

  • Weapon status boost

    • Raise status like attack power, separate from regular upgrades or grade increases.

  • Style selection

    •  Each weapon type gets two styles. Choosing one changes long-press actions and combos(*2).

Notes:

*1: Eligible weapons are those forged from materials of monsters that also appear as riftborne monsters.

*2: As of September 2025, Style Customization is available for the sword & shield, great sword, long sword, hammer, gunlance, and light bowgun.

*3: Check out the video guide [here] for a closer look at each style.

Style Customization Updates

Style customized weapons are stronger than ever!

From Season 7, the status boosts from Style Customization have been greatly increased. When making full use of new style actions, these weapons are now capable of tackling powerful 9★ and 10★ monsters.

Furthermore, during certain events, the material and Zenny cost for forging and upgrading eligible weapons is greatly reduced for a limited time, making upgrades easier.

Coming up, Deviljho weapons will have their requirements greatly reduced to celebrate the debut of Riftborne Deviljho from September 22!
