SOS Training lessons are available to Level 4 players and above.
SOS Training allows players to advance their magical knowledge and skills by completing a wide variety of SOS Training Lessons. With each lesson, players can acquire new spells or upgrade and enhance existing spell casting abilities. For instance, SOS Training can improve your chances of getting rare Gifts, raise your competency against a Trace Family, make you better at brewing Potions, and much more!
Moreover, as you advance in your SOS Training, you will unlock Map abilities called Field Charms. Field Charms are potent spells that are cast directly on the Map. Their effects can boost Spell Energy, Potion Ingredients, and Traces for a limited time.
Earning SOS Training Books
SOS Training Books are resources that can be used to unlock additional enhancements from SOS Training Lessons. As you continue on your adventure and explore the Map, you'll obtain SOS Training Books by returning Traces, completing event tasks, or placing Images in the Registry. There are four kinds of collectible SOS Training Books:
Get Field Guides for returning Traces that you encounter on the Map. Higher threat Traces yield greater Field Guide rewards and are more likely to reward Field Guides than lower threat Traces.
Get Ministry Manuals by placing non-Mysteries or non-event Images in the Registry. Players must also Prestige Challenges Family pages and update their frames to bronze or better before placing Images on those pages can reward Ministry Manuals.
Restricted Section Books and Defense Against the Dark Arts Books are rare SOS Training Books. You can get these items by completing in-game event tasks that reward them.
Investing in SOS Training
SOS Training Lessons are tied to your Wizarding level; you'll unlock more lessons as you level up. Complete lessons by exchanging the required number of SOS Training Books noted in the lesson plan.
Note: A prerequisite lesson may be required to move on to the next lesson.
